Personal Development Opportunities
LLY provides its members with opportunities for personal development, helps them pursue their goals, and discover their own path. Members can participate in mentorship programs and working groups, become part of Team of Bureau Assistants, gain experience through trainings and meetings with professionals in their fields, plan their careers, and try themselves in various areas.
Team of Bureau Assistants
Each year, the Lithuanian Liberal Youth Bureau organizes a selection process for the Team of Bureau Assistants. This team consists of selected members who, with the support of an Bureau member, have the opportunity to develop competencies in the area coordinated by that Office member (communication, political affairs, education, finance, etc.). Bureau members commit not only to sharing knowledge and skills but also to ensuring the personal development of their assistants.
LLY Mentorship Program
LLY runs a mentorship program each year, in which participating members can be mentored not only by LLY structure members but also by LLY alumni, members of other organizations, and employees of various institutions. The program lasts several months, and each participant is assigned a mentor aligned with their expectations. This program provides members with essential knowledge in their field of interest and career planning opportunities.
Working Groups
Members who wish to deepen their knowledge in international or regional relations, political education, or branch microclimates are invited by LLY Board members to join their coordinated working groups. From drafting resolutions and positions to discussing branch microclimates and possible solutions to challenges, Board members provide opportunities to develop both social and professional skills.
Career Planning
It is important to note that even involvement at the branch level supports career planning. Each LLY branch has different committees where members can develop competencies, test their interest in a specific field, and decide whether they want to link their future with similar activities. Members may choose to participate in multiple committees, such as event organization, human resources, communication, political affairs, education, marketing, and finance. All committees offer invaluable experience and opportunities for growth.

Finally, LLY members have opportunities to meet professionals in their fields of interest. Such encounters empower members to confidently express their opinions and gain positive experiences that help young people grow and develop every day.
